The more I study myself and witness clients the more I realize how much issues in life, stuckness, is all about resistance. When there is no resistance or when resistance lifts, there is flow. Emotions move through me like the passing weather, practical challenges arise and are dealt with or let go, everything is just as it needs to be in the moment. Resistance can be felt as a tension in the body, anywhere really, but particularly in the chest, shoulders, neck and jaw. Are you aware of resistance right now? If so, don’t resist it! Embrace it. Say yes to it and watch how it changes as you pay attention to it. Breathe and soften around it if that makes sense in the moment. Or perhaps it wants to tense up more now that you’re paying attention to it. Let it do what it needs to do to complete itself. Make some noise if you need to. Scream. Rage. Anger is a higher energy emotion than sadness or depression. Let it happen. Let anger take you to strength. Let yourself evolve embracing each moment as it comes.
